Our SIS program supports adults 60+ and individuals with disabilities of any age by offering free advocacy and guidance on Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care, and more. As Coles County’s Coordinated Point of Entry for the Illinois Department on Aging, we are the first stop for those seeking aging-related services.
Dial-A-Ride provides accessible public transportation in Coles and Douglas counties for all residents, regardless of age or ability. Services include rides to medical appointments, grocery stores, and more—often at reduced rates. Older adults can ride for a donation, and veterans receive discounts.
Part of the SIS program, Caregiver Advisory Services supports adult caregivers, including those over 55 raising grandchildren or relatives. Services include support groups, counseling, respite assistance, training workshops, and resource referrals.
