LifeSpan Center Volunteer Program (LSVP)
The LifeSpan Volunteer Program (LSVP) provides a variety of opportunities for persons aged 50 and older to participate more fully in their community through meaningfull volunteer opportunities. LSVP promotes volunteer opportunities as not only a community service, but also and more importantly an opportunity for volunteers to take pride in sharing their existing skills and learning new ones.The realization of the value their service provides within our community is the ultimate goal. Volunteers are matched to assignments according to each person's interests, abilities, preferences and availability. Current volunteer options include...Operation Gratitude PenPal Program, Exercise Classes, LifeSpan Family Theater Attendants, American Cancer Society Wig Bank, LifeSpan Welcome Desk, SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program), and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).
