SERVICES
Services We Provide Include:
The Coles County Council on Aging was established in 1974 as a 501(c)3 not for profit corporation. The purpose was to serve older adults within Coles County in every aspect of need. Programs were created to carry out that purpose. Over the past few years we have recognized the need to evalulate our path. This relection has led our Board of Directors to set a defined course "back to our roots" so to speak. The creation of a new vision and mission statement have revitalized the agency course relative to what we do and most importantly why we do it.
The later years of life bring many transitions such as empty nest and retirement to name a few, and there are real challenges that result from these changes in our lives. CCCoA strives to design programming that meets the individual needs of each person and provides added benefit in all aspects of the pursuit of self-fulfillment. We understand cookie cutter remedies don't work. Our team is energized to investigate and discover creative ways to advance these goals.
Trial and error mentality is key. We seek input and feedback directly from all sectors of the community and especially those we aim to serve.
